Figurative Language

Hello Again!

Me here. I want to start out this blog by saying that I love figurative language like I love music. They are the same in my mind. Music speaks the way a great sentence or phrases does. Right? Anyone agree?

I'd like you to share here your favorite example of figurative language, either written by YOU or SOMEONE ELSE.

I'll start. My friend just got a poem published and I think it's a sweet little simile.

"I ride up Chiques Hill –

Long, curvy and steep with as much shoulder as a worm."

A figurative language quote I wrote a long time ago was "Her hair, a gift from the heavens, bleached from the sun'skiss."
I remember writing this in a busted notebook... Ha. Now I wish I continued on with that story, but that notebook is probably long gone now.);

a figurative laugnuage quote that i wrote before was the "it was one misseable day at the station the wrinkled senior detective and then he j8umped when he got a call from a mysteriously lady..." i think that shows how long hes been on the force adn that he must of been really tired since he jumped when he got the call

omg i love music! and figurative launguage is cool too. my fav saying that i wrote a wile ago issss... "you grew up strong, screaming sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. but now, like everything, you fall. crying break my bones with sticks and stones, but what hurt the most were the names you called me.

Since Sam stole my simile I'm gonna steal his: "His teeth were like grinding porcupines." It's that kind of inspired literature that keeps me coming back.

Yesterday one of my friends told her sister,"Emma, Facebook is like a refrigerator." :) I thought this was a funny comment although Im not sure why she said that. I didnt hear the rest of the conversation.

I just love the quote "LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE"...when i see this i think of it as you LIVE your life to the fullest...you LAUGH at all the things that dont matter...and...you LOVE with all you have and more <3...
